Camping Misadventure

You and your friends from high school are planning an overnight camping trip to Camp Critter, which is the towns local abandonded camping site that used to be used for the annual Catholic mission retreats. After all how else will you and your friends celebrate the conclusion of Sophmore year of high school? Rebecca your bff since the first grade was super excited. "We can tell each other ghost stories, stay up late, make s'mores, and the best part is we won't have any adults there to tell us what to do! Maybe we can even invite boys!" Cindy who you've known since 7th grade and even shared a room with at band camp one summer chimed in. "Easy there Rebecca isn't it a little too late to be hitting your rebelious phase?" You let out a slight snicker without even noticing. Rebecca gives you a dagger look. You and Rebecca always get into little bickering matches and you know this look means an argument is not far ahead, most times they are very minor you can only recall one time you and Rebecca had a huge fight but you guys promised to never speak of that argument again. You begin to think to yourself should you [[stop the argument]] or should you [[argue with Rebecca ]]before it starts?

You are packing your overnight bag hoping to not forget anything. "Flashlight check, headphones check, tent check, cell phone check." You go over everything just to make sure you have everything when you realize that you do not have a lighter. You could ask your parents but they are already protective enough it is bad enough that they barely let you go on this camping trip you can already picture the big fuss they would make if you asked for a lighter to bring along for your trip. They'd probably assume you would be using it for drugs instead of the conventional fire starter. should you [[call and ask Cindy can she get one?]] or should you [[suck it up and ask your parents can you borrow a lighter?]]

You take the shortcut to Cindy's house which involve a ton of back roads and back allies. You are just trying to shave a few minutes so you guys have more sunlight for the walk to the Campsite. You pull up to Cindy's house and see Cindy waiting outside. She hops in the car and you guys pull off. "I didn't expect you to already be outside." You say. &emsp;&emsp;"Yeah I know I just figured I could be outside since I knew you were coming and the quicker we left my house the quicker we get to go on our VACATION!" Cindy says. &emsp;&emsp;"Wow you are really excited for this I am loving your energy right now Cindy." You say &emsp;&emsp;"It's just nice to get away you know? Even if that means i have to spend the night with Rebecca it is just nice to get away from well get away from everyone ya know?" Cindy says. &emsp;&emsp;"Yeah I know what you mean we all need a bit of a mental break sometimes." You say. &emsp;&emsp;"Exactly see you understand, I am just so psyched to have this getaway just us." Cindy says. "Maybe you should curb your enthusiasim I would hate to see Rebecca see you in such high spirits and try to suck the excitment right out of you." You say. &emsp;&emsp;"Not even Rebecca can ruin my mood now." Cindy says. &emsp;&emsp;"Great I'm glad to hear that because we are here." You say. You slowly [[pull up]] to Rebecca's house. Both you and Cindy exit the car.

You are cruising down the road but one thing continues to poke at your brain. Why did Cindy have such a strange reaction to you asking her to bring a lighter. "I wonder if she actually feels like that or was blowing off steam? I wonder if I should bring it up when she gets in the car or not?" Maybe brining it up will only make matters worse maybe staying quiet and ingnoring it is the best way to go. Well whatever decision I make I'm going to have to make it quick I'm sure Cindy will be out any second. You pull up to Cindy's house and honk the horn to let her know you're outside. Your mind is racing thinking of what you are planning on doing too late now Cindy opens the door "Hey thanks for coming to get me." Cindy says. &emsp;&emsp;"No problem." you reply. There was a slight silence that made you uncomfortable. You decide to either [[blast music]] or [[ask Cindy what her flare up was about]].

You call up Cindy right away. "Hey Cindy do you think you could get a lighter for us to use on the camping trip? I would ask my parents but they can be real buzzkills about this type of thing." "Are you only asking me this because Rebecca said my parents let me do whatever I want?" Cindy says. "What, no I just thought I would ask so we could have something to start a fire with on the trip. I didn't know it was that big of a deal I'll just go ask Rebecca to bring one." You say. "No that's not what I meant I'm sorry of course I can get a lighter for tonight." Cindy says. "Ok perfect thanks I'll be on my way in like 5 minutes. I'm just making sure I have everything before I leave." You say. &emsp;&emsp;"Ok sounds great I'll be here ready just honk or call when youre outside." Cindy says. &emsp;&emsp;"Ok will do see ya then." You say. That was weird Cindy usually never snaps like that unless it is towards Rebecca. A lot of people do say she has the most relaxed parents to ever live, and Rebecca is usually the main culprit. Maybe all of people's talk has finally gotten to her or maybe she is still upset about this mornings argument. That must be it she is just upset she will eventually get over it. You grab your bag your keys and then make your way out the door you throw your bags in the car and then you begin [[Driving]].

You walk downstairs and stand there for a bit. Your parents probably think you are attempting to create a dramatic pause little do they know you are trying to find the right way to ask this question. Finally your dad breaks the silence &emsp;&emsp;"Is there something we can help you with Jellybelly?" &emsp;&emsp;"uh yeah I..I kind of have a question but I don't know how you and Mom are going to take it." &emsp;&emsp;"Well just shoot for it darling me and your mother are understanding." &emsp;&emsp;"Ok well it's about the Camping trip.." &emsp;&emsp;"Go on we are listening." &emsp;&emsp;"I know you guys are still skeptical about the trip and probably still have some doubts, but do you think I could borrow a lighter and bring it along for the trip?" &emsp;&emsp;"What would you be using this lighter for?" &emsp;&emsp;"Just to help make the fire that's all I swear!" "Alright Jellybelly here you go." Your dad hands you a lighter. "Now you be careful with this, if you so much as slightly burn yourself your mother will never let me live it down." He says. We all laugh for a bit. My dad glances over at the clock. "You better get a move on if you guys want some daylight to aid you in your walk to the camping site." &emsp;&emsp;"Wow youre right!" You say. You rush upstairs grab your bag and grab your keys. "Bye mom and dad you flash one last look at your parents before you leave thanks again, both of you i love you guys so much." You say. After that you place your belongings in the [[car]] and you are on your way.

You pull out your CD titled "Road Jams '06" and crank the volume up high. You go to Taylor Swift because you know Cindy can't help but sing along to the lyrics. Although the music is so high and you are probably damiging your ear drums for future use anything and I mean anything is better than that awkward silence you experienced beforehand. A few songs past and as the last one ends you [[pull up]] to Rebecca's house. You and Cindy both exit the car.

Only a few seconds go by but they feel like hours with this question weighing on your mind. Finally you get the courage to ask. You take a deep breath and ask Cindy "hey Cindy maybe it was nothing but what wsa all that on the phone about?" You see Cindy's face chagne, it goes from emotionless to real tight in a blink of an eye. You think you've done it now you wish you could just hop out of the car while it is still moving anything but having Cindy yell at you again. But what comes out of Cindy's mouth is not at all what you expected. &emsp;&emsp;"I'm glad you asked. I just am so sick of people always commenting on my family without knowing the facts. The only reason I get to 'do what I want' is becasue my mother is sick in the hospital and has ben for some time now. My dad works two jobs to help pay for the medical bills so he doesn't have time for me so the only reason I am so 'free' is becsaue I don't have anyone who can pay me any attention." Cindy says. You turn cold why did Cindy never mention this before? Why is she just opening up about this now you knew she was always quiet but why would she not share this with anyone? &emsp;&emsp;"I'm sorry Cindy I had no idea any of this was going on." You say. &emsp;&emsp;"That's ok." she says "No one really knows, not that anyone really asks. Usually it is something I brush off but after the incident today with Rebecca I guess it was still on my mind." It goes silent for a bit you try to think of more things to say. "Just open your mouth and comfort her." You think. You fix your lips to conjure up something reassuring but by the time you open your mouth it is too late. You [[pull up]] to Rebbeca's house. You and Cindy both exit the car. The bombshell Cindy just dropped on you still playing in your mind.

You spot Rebecca already on the porch awaiting your guys arrival. She frantically waves while yelling "Hey guys! what took you so long I've been waiting for like forever." You let out a sigh "Rebecca it has only been like an hour since we left school. We packed our stuff and came right here. You say. &emsp;&emsp;"Yeah well it still felt like a long time ok." Rebeccas says. "I'm just so excited to get this trip going I can hardly wait!" Rebecca says. &emsp;&emsp;"Well princess you should go inside and get your bag so we can get a move on then." You say &emsp;&emsp;"No need." Rebecca says. "I told you guys I have been waiting my bags are right over there." Rebecca points to a duffle bag that was sitting on a chair to the left that was out of your view. &emsp;&emsp;"Well grab it and lets get going don't want to waste anymore daylight." You say. &emsp;&emsp;"Sounds like a plan." Both Cindy and Rebecca say. You guys all grab your stuff and start [[walking]] to the Campsite.

Cindy immediately interjects "Guys no one wants to hear your petty arguments!" You both stand there and look as you are stunned into silence. No one has ever called you guys out on your petty arguments before. &emsp;&emsp;"Oh we never knew our arguments bothered you that much we will try to tone it down now. Let's focus on the details and sort out how we will be getting to the camp now." You and Rebecca agree. After you guys figured out that you would pick up Cindy on your way to Rebecca's house. From there you would leave your car in Rebecca's drive way because her parents were going to be gone for the weekend and there was no worry of having to move your car for any reason. And from there you guys would walk to the abandonded camp site which was probably a 3 mile walk. The scene transitions and you are in [[ your room]] preparing for your trip.

"Real clever comment from a girl whose parents let her do anything. It's easy to have no rebellious phase when your parents allow you to get away with any and everything!" Rebecca snaps while looking in your direction. "Rebecca you don't even know my family. Maybe if you weren't so stuck up and rotten you would know people for who they truly are instead of just running with the rumors you hear about them while in the bathroom stall." Cindy fires back. You slowly inch towards Cindy showing Rebecca that you are siding with Cindy. After all she was right Rebecca was the queen of gossip and sometimes you just felt like her helpless jester. These kinds of arguments could go on forever if someone did not stop them, "Alright, alright guys can we please save the bickering for after we have the trip planned?" They conclude their argument but not after a subtle jab from Rebecca. "I can stay on task as long as Cindy can stay on task." Rebbeca says. "Whatever." Cindy replies. They hold it together long enough where you can sort out all the details for the trip. You guys will meet up at 6pm, you will pick up Cindy on your way to Rebecca's house and from there you will leave your car at Rebecca's house and you guys will walk to the camping site. Transition to [[ your room]].

You and your friends are senslessly chattering about how glad you are that the school year is over and how you cant wait for Junior year. "It's going to be great first year of Prom, we get to start chooisng easier classes, and most importantly one less year we have to spend in high school." Rebecca says. You totally block out the chatter so you can be with your own thoughts for a second. Truth be told you are a bit scared going on this trip. Nothing has ever happened at Camp Critter well nothing that has been covered in the news. There are always rumors of people disappearing and never making it back but you persuaded yourself thats just dumb rumors that the senior boys spread. But you can't help but think of the possibilty of what if it is true? "HHHEllOOO." you snap out of your thoughts. &emsp;&emsp;"Did you not hear a word I said?" it was Rebecca. &emsp;&emsp;"No sorry, I was caught up in my thoughts and I must have zoned out what was it that you said?" You say. &emsp;&emsp;"I asked did you want to [[play a game of iSpy]] to pass the time?" Rebecca says. You look at Cindy who gives you a shrug. It does sound tempting if you don't you're just going to be [[contemplating your thoughts]] about this trip and worry yourself sick.

"Yeah sure sounds fun! Who will go first?" You ask. &emsp;&emsp;"I can." Rebecca says. "iSpy with my little eye something that is green." &emsp;&emsp;"Is it grass?" Cindy asks &emsp;&emsp;"Nope try again." &emsp;&emsp;"Is it that bush?" You question. &emsp;&emsp;"Nope but you're getting closer. &emsp;&emsp;"Is it the leaves of a tree?" You ask. &emsp;&emsp;"Nope." Rebeccas replies &emsp;&emsp;"Well is it..." You start. &emsp;&emsp;"God Rebeccas just tell us what it is your turn has been going on for like 4 minutes straight." Cindy says. &emsp;&emsp;"Fine it was the collar on the dog we saw about a mile and a half back." Rebeccas says pleased with herself. "I totally stumped you guys you would have never found out if I hadn't told you." You are not quite sure if that is against the rules or was actually good riddle on Rebecca's part. No matter you dont have time to argue you guys are standing in front of the [[Campsite]] you weary from the walk cannot wait to put all your stuff down.

"No that's ok" You say "We're almosst there anyway we probably wouldn't get through a full game anyway." You say. &emsp;&emsp;"Well fine party pooper we'll just keep walking until we get there." Rebecca says. It does not take long before you are outside the [[Campsite]]. Time was nonexistent all you could think of was 'what if...' what if the boys were telling the truth? If they were you guys can be in real danger.

'Campsite Spider No. 43' The sign reads. There is a [[cabin]] to your west Maybe this has a number of beds that you and your friends can use instead ofyou fidgeting with a tent all night long. You see a nice low ground spot where you are able to make a [[fire]] if you so choose. This would be the only way that we can make s'mores Rebecca has the ingredents or she is supposed to have them you hope she remembered them you totally forgot to ask her about it.Lastly you see the camp [[lake]]. It would be relaxing to go for a swim, it is a summer day after all. You did not bring your bathing suit however noting is wrong with stripping down to your underwear and going for a dip. No one will see you and you're with your friends who you have kown forever who cares?

Thankfully you are in luck! It is not much but it is more than you anticipated. All that is in there is a clock, one [[dresser]] and a bookshelf. Quite conveniently there are three full sized beds in a row sheets and blankets still on them. You doubt they are fresh at all but beggars shouldn't be choosers right? You don't think that's exactly how the saying goes but who cares you get to sleep in a bed tonight. It sure beats the ground you were preparing yourself for. You settle down and claim your bed this is an outdoors trip though, and nothing eventful has even happened do you want to go back to the main [[Campsite]]? Or do you want to [[settle in]] some more and potentially miss out on some fun?

"Hey Cindy, do you have that lighter we talked about?" You ask. &emsp;&emsp;"Yup. I sure do it's right here." Cindy hands you a sleek black lighter. You go off to gather sticks and loose branches to start your fire with. &emsp;&emsp;"We'll probably have to add to this every hour or so to keep it going but this should do for now." You say. "Hey Rebecca if you have the marshmellows and stuff we can make our [[s'mores]] now. &emsp;&emsp;"Yeah I have the stuff it's just over there in my bag." Rebecca runs over to her bag and pulls out the crackers chocolate, and marshmellows.

"I'm going to go for a swim if you guys want to join you are more than welcome to." You say. &emsp;&emsp;"Count me in." Rebecca says. &emsp;&emsp;"Oh shoot I guess I wasn't thinking I totally forgot to pack a suit." Cindy says &emsp;&emsp;"Who cares i didn't pack a suit either I was just going to go in my underwear it's just us out here no one will see." You assure Cindy. &emsp;&emsp;"No that's ok you and Rebecca can go I'll just wait here for you guys and when you get back we can all do some bonding." Cindy says. &emsp;&emsp;"Ok if you're sure that's what you want. We will try not to go too far out." You say. [[Swim]].

You are sitting in your bed for the night reading a book you found in a bookshelf off in a corner to the left. You are finally getting to the climax when your light becomes blocked by a shdow it's Rebecca. &emsp;&emsp;"Are you going to be a stick in the mud all night and ignore us for this book? Or do you want to do something fun like [[tell ghost stories]]? This was supposed to be a fun time with friends after all but this book really captivates you. Should you ignore your friends and continue to [[read]]?

"We can use these loose sticks here to make our s'mores." You say. You guys gather sticks and then begin to make your s'mores. Time passes, you are unsure exactly how many s'mores you have had you think you couldn't have had less than 5 but no more than 10. You are speaking with Rebecca and Cindy as the fire is beginning to whither away. Suddenly you hear a snapping of branches. &emsp;&emsp;"Hey guys did you hear that?" You ask. &emsp;&emsp;"I didn't hear anything." Cindy says. &emsp;&emsp;"Me either." Rebecca says. &emsp;&emsp;"I could've sworn I heard something like someone was stepping on twigs somewhere nearby. Just as you begin to turn your body you are met by a large dark figure you freeze cold. Before you can make a sound or an action it swoops right over you and snatches Rebecca and disappears just as quick as it emerged. &emsp;&emsp;"What was that!" Cindy exclaims. &emsp;&emsp;"I have no idea! Did it actually take Rebecca?" You are still filled with fear. "What should we do?" You ask. &emsp;&emsp;"For one we need to get the hell out of here!" Cindy says. "Then we need to call the police and tell them what happened. You agree after all there is nothing you can do to whatever that thing was. It seemed like it stood a good ten feet tall. You and Cindy frantically pack your things and [[run for your life]].

You and Rebecca go out in the lake. The water is cool to your skin. "Now this is just what I needed." You say. &emsp;&emsp;"Yeah this is pretty relaxing." Rebecca agrees. "It is real easy to get lost in your thoughts with relaxation like this." Rebecca says. You nod in agreement. &emsp;&emsp;"Hey I didn't want to mention this in front of Cindy but do you think I could you know like be nicer to people?" This question surprised you. Rebecca has never been the one to feel like she should change for anyone. For as long as you knew her she was always in the right no matter what situation was. Before you got the chance to answer you heard [[Cindy]] scream for help. &emsp;&emsp;"HELP HELP ME PLEASE NO!" You and Rebeccas rush out the water to see what is going on.

"Yeah youre right. This is a vacation and school just ended. What the heck lets tell some ghost stories." You say. &emsp;&emsp;"Perfect. Who wants to start?" Rebecca asks? &emsp;&emsp;"I can go." Cindy says. Oh great this can either be a really scary story or really boring theres no in between with Cindy. At times Cindy has a past of being real dark so you're nervous where this will go. "Once u..." Cindy starts. &emsp;&emsp;"Hey before you start everyone let's drink one of these." Rebecca pulls out a case of beer from her bag and hands one to both you and Cindy. &emsp;&emsp;"Where on earth did you get these?" You ask. &emsp;&emsp;"When my parents weren't looking I grabbed it out of the fridge." &emsp;&emsp;"This is alcohol we can't have this think of how much trouble we will get in." You say. &emsp;&emsp;"If you want to be a loser and not drink be my guest but I'm going to add some excitment to this trip and drink this beer." Rebecca says. You look at Cindy who shrugs. "She's right what the hell. What better way to bond than having our first alcholic drink together? And like you said earlier no one is here but us it will be fine." Cindy says. You don't want to be the only one left out and Cindy has a good point. No one is here, and this is definitely something you guys will remember for a long time. You [[drink the beer]].

You check the Dresser opening all the drawers. All you find is a single note. "If you are reading this get out of here." Guys check this out. You show Rebecca and Cindy the note. &emsp;&emsp;"Well that's creepy. Cindy says. &emsp;&emsp;"Are you guys idiots? This was obviously put here by the senior boys who make up all the rumors about this place." Rebecca said. She has a point this could just be someone trying to scare them away. &emsp;&emsp;"Yeah maybe. But how would they know we were going to stay in this cabin?" You ask. &emsp;&emsp;"There's probably that exact same note all over the place. I'm telling you they put it here to scare people off so they could continue making horror stories about it." Rebecca says. &emsp;&emsp;"Yea. maybe you're right." You put the note back in the dresser. Go back to the [[cabin]].

"Give me 10 more minutes. I'm almost at the climax and once i figure out who the killer is I'll put the book down and join you guys ok?" You say. &emsp;&emsp;"Whatever." Rebecca replies. You continue to read. 'As you scamper down the corridor you run into a dead end. You hear the screeching of metal scrapping against metl. If you are going to kill me at least show me your face you coward! The Killer reaches for his mask slowly taking it off and revealing...' Just as you were about to figure out who it was the power goes out. You look up from your book. &emsp;&emsp;"Who turned off the lights?" You ask. &emsp;&emsp;"I don't know it wasn't me." Rebecca replies &emsp;&emsp;"Me either Cindy says. &emsp;&emsp;"Someone should go check the circut breaker outside to see if the switch was flipped." You say. Rebecca and Cindy are stone still. They show no interest in moving."Fine I'll go and check it out." You say. Maybe you shouldn't have read that book, it is dark and you are walking alone to go check out a [[circut breaker]]. How much more low budget horror movie could you get?

You go out to the circut breaker and everything seems to be normal. The switch is flipped down. You flip it up and call out to your friends. "Did anything happen?" &emsp;&emsp;"Nope." They reply. You check the box to see if there is any dents or dings in it and see a long thick cable. This could be nothing or it could be the cause to why you don't have power. Only one way to find out [[follow the cord]]. It is late enough already though, If you went back to the cabin you could probably just say you couldn't find out why it went out and go to [[sleep]] until morning.

The beer tastes awful but it seems to be the only thing to drink besides lake water. Cindy begins to tell her story however you are drifting in and out you feel sick to your stomach you're sure it is the beer. You say you're going outside to get some fresh air. Cindy says she'll join you she has to pee anyway. You and Cindy both go outside You take a deep breath and just try to focus on breathing. Deep breath in and blow it out. Deep breath in and blow it out. you do this a couple more times until you are interupted by a loud shriek "AHHAHAHAHH!" That most certainly was Cindy. "Cindy where are you? Cindy!" There is no answer. You run back to the cabin to [[get Rebecca]].

You and Cindy run for your life and don't stop to look back once. You reach Rebecca's house and go inside. You both look frantically for her house phone. Finally you find it and [[dial 911]] to call the police.

"Rebecca did you just hear that loud scream?" You ask. &emsp;&emsp;"Yeah i did what did Cindy scare herself from her own story?" Rebecca asks. &emsp;&emsp;"Shut up I think she might actually need help. Come on let's go find her." &emsp;&emsp;"Alright, alright just let me get my shoes on." Rebecca says. Rebecca grabs her shoes and you two go and [[search for Cindy]].

Ring...Ring...Ring... "Hello 911 what'syour emergency?" &emsp;&emsp;"I need the police! Me and my friends were at Camp Critter and we were camping and suddenly this tall dark thing or man I don't know what it was snatched my friend and disappeared!" You are so frantic you are wondering if they are fully understanding the words you are saying. &emsp;&emsp;"Remain calm we will have a unit to your location right away. 5 minutes pass and you see the police car outside. You bolt outside with Cindy and begin to speak to the cops. &emsp;&emsp;"Ok ma'am please start from the beginning tell us everything that happened. You give the police [[all the information]].

They take all the information you gave them and escort and and Cindy both home. They alert your parents what happened and that they will be starting an [[investigation]] right away. You are still in shock and can't believe your best friend was just stolen before your very eyes.

Two weeks pass, then two months, then two years. They never found Rebecca they say there wasn't even a trace of her left. No clothing, hair its as if she disappeared with the wind. They shut down the investigation but you will always remember that day Rebecca disappeared. It still plays in your head like a scaring horror movie. No matter how much time passes you can't believe it Rebecca is gone. Go back to the [[Start]] For alternative endings There are 6 in total.

You and Rebecca begin to look for Cindy. &emsp;&emsp;"Let's start over here that's where I heard her scream come from. you and Rebecca search around and find marks in the ground. &emsp;&emsp;"Hey Rebecca come check this out." You say. "Doesn't this look like someone was forcibly dragged from this spot?" &emsp;&emsp;"Yeah these marks dool look pretty weird. Maybe if we [[follow them]] it will take us to Cindy." Rebecca says. &emsp;&emsp;"Good idea." You say.

You follow the cord for a while until you realize it has been severed in half. You wonder what or who could've done this. Well there is certainly no way you can fix this. You begin to turn back to the cabin but just as you turn around you hear a disembodied voice. &emsp;&emsp;"WE TOLD YOU TO GET OUT OF HERE." &emsp;&emsp;"Hello? Who is that?" You ask but there was no reply until a few seconds later. &emsp;&emsp;"WE TOLD YOU TO GET OUT OF HERE. NOW YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO LEAVE." &emsp;&emsp;"Who are you!" You yell. "If you're one of the dumb senior boys you wont scare me!" But it wasn't trying to scare you, it was serious. You feel something wrap around both your ankles. It pulls you to the floor and drags you into the dark shadows. &emsp;&emsp;"WE TOLD YOU GET OUT OF HERE. BUT YOU WOULD NOT LISTEN TO US. NOW YOU BELONG TO US." You vanish without a trace never to be heard from again. For alternate endings or if you want to try again go back to [[Start]]. There are 6 in total.

You go back to the Cabin cold and defeated. "Sorry guys I have no idea why we lost power I couldn't figure it out. It's pretty late anyway what do you say we get some sleep?" &emsp;&emsp;"Yeah sure thing." They both agree. You guys wake up in the morning and pack your bags and head back to Rebecca's house. This trip was very uneventful but at least it served as a get away right? To this day you wonder what would of happened if you would of followed that cord. There has to be more! You follow the tracks until you see something in the distance. A figure of some sort huddled over. "Rebecca that has to be her." You say "Cindy! Cindy!" you say shaking and waving your hands. As you approach the figure more closely you freeze. It is for sure Cindy but something is off it isn't until Rebecca screams that you realize what you're looking at. &emsp;&emsp;"AHH! oh my god what happened to her!" Rebecca yells. Cindy is hunched over on the ground laying face down. You flip her over and find out that she has been stabbed multiple times in the stomach. You check for a pulse but can't find one. &emsp;&emsp;"Rebecca someone murdered Cindy." You say. "We need to leave now!" "Then when we're out we can call the police." Rebecca do you hear me?" But there was no answer. You turn around and no longer see Rebecca standing behind you. "Rebecca? Rebeccca where'd you go?" Before your question had time for a reply a large figure appears from behind a tree. You run as fast as you can in the opposite direction however you did not run fast enough. You feel a sharp pain in your stomach. You look down and see a whole in your stomach the size of a crater. You collapse to your knees and then flat on your face. Whatever this thing is killed Cindy and probably took Rebecca too. You dont want to be it's next victim. You attempt to crawl away but your strength fails you. You are dying, everything goes black. You and Rebecca are back at the campsite. Cindy is not in sight so you call her. "Cindy, Cindy where are you? Cindy are you ok?" You yell. But there is no reply. &emsp;&emsp;"We have to go find her Rebecca." You say. &emsp;&emsp;"Right." Rebecca agrees. You and Rebecca search for Cindy for hours it was getting dark when you both started looking now it's starting to turn light. REbecca turns to you. "Maybe we should pack it in and go home." Rebecca says. &emsp;&emsp;"What? How could you say that Rebecca Cindy is our friend we have to find her. Rebecca sighs. "I know who she is but we are not detectives and we have been looking for her all night. you know as much as I do that Cindy was an outcast." You eyes are wide you can't believe what you are hearing right now."No one will miss her. Let's just [[go home]]." Rebecca says. &emsp;&emsp;"How can you say this right she is a person Rebecca she has a family!." You say. &emsp;&emsp;"You know and I know Cindy's parents don't care Did they even know she was coming on this trip with us? If we got asked we could deny the fact she was with us." Rebecca Says. &emsp;&emsp;"You're a monster! The least we can do is [[call the police and report her missing]]. You say. &emsp;&emsp;"You do whatever you want. I'll stand behind whatever decision you make.

"Fine let's forget about this whole trip. ANd this is something we take to the grave you hear me? No one can ever know about this deal?" &emsp;&emsp;a"Deal." Rebecca replies. You and Rebecca go home and never speak about that day again. It still plauges your mind every now and then how can a person just up and vanish how could there be not a single trace of Cindy anywhere? "We are calling the police. People care about Cindy. I care about Cindy." You say. &emsp;&emsp;"Ok let's go back to my house and we can call the police from there." Rebecca says. You reach Rebecca's house and call teh police you give them all the information you can and even take a lie detector test. Maybe they thought your story didn't add up and you were a suspect. They investigated Cindy's disappearance for a month and a half with no success. Now the only way Cindy lives on is as a legend that contributes to Camp Critters name.
